BIONIC WOMAN
FRED
INT. EMPTY DINER - NIGHT
BIONIC WOMAN sits alone in a smoky booth. She looks just like everyone else. Actually, she looks incredibly normal.
FRED approaches the booth slowly. BIONIC WOMAN nods. FRED sits.
FRED
Hello.
BIONIC WOMAN
(smirking)
Hello.
FRED
You’re her?
BIONIC WOMAN
What do you think?
FRED
I - I really don’t know.
BIONIC WOMAN
(nodding her head)
Yeah, I’m her.
FRED
So, Bionic Woman... you said 50?
BIONIC WOMAN
Grand. And keep your voice down.
FRED
Of course, of course.
FRED pulls up his heavy briefcase.
BIONIC WOMAN
When do you need him gone?
FRED
By Friday morning.
BIONIC WOMAN nods her head slowly.
FRED
Can I ask -
BIONIC WOMAN
Hm.
FRED
Um, where’s the - uh. Where’s your bionics.
BIONIC WOMAN
Oh, you wanna see the goods?
FRED gulps. BIONIC WOMAN lifts up her glove covered hand. She removes it slowly to reveal a single finger with a couple of loose rings and a metal tip on it.
FRED
Oh -
BIONIC WOMAN
I know. It’s a lot for some people.
FRED
That’s why they call you Bionic Woman?
BIONIC WOMAN
That’s right, kid.
FRED
Ah.
Beat.
BIONIC WOMAN
What.
FRED
What does it do?
BIONIC WOMAN smirks again. She pokes FRED with the finger.
FRED
Ow.
BIONIC WOMAN
I know.
FRED rubs his arm.
FRED
That’s enough to kill him?
BIONIC WOMAN
What?
FRED
You can kill him with that finger?
BIONIC WOMAN
(hesitant)
Yes.
FRED
Alright, uh, cool.
BIONIC WOMAN
No. I can’t.
FRED
You just said -
BIONIC WOMAN
I lied.
FRED
So -
BIONIC WOMAN
I’m using a gun.
FRED
Oh okay.
BIONIC WOMAN
And then my finger.
FRED
Right.
BIONIC WOMAN smirks again.
BIONIC
You want my signature?
FRED
Are you a celebrity?
BIONIC WOMAN
I fought batman once.
FRED
Oh, really?
BIONIC WOMAN
Yes.
FRED
Well, that’s cool -
BIONIC WOMAN
No, I didn’t.
FRED
Why -
BIONIC WOMAN
I lied again.
FRED
Can you just let me know if you kill him by Friday?
BIONIC WOMAN
No problem, kid.
FRED
I’m clearly older than you.
FRED leaves the suitcase. BIONIC WOMAN pokes FRED as he leaves the booth.
FRED
Ow.
